      Mucaine Gel Mint Syrup 200ml is an antacid used to treat upset stomach, heartburn, acid indigestion, and pain associated with peptic ulcer, esophagitis, hiatus hernia, and anorexia. It treats hyperphosphatemia in patients with chronic and renal failure. Besides, it is also used as an osmotic laxative. However, the uses mentioned here are not exhaustive. There may be other conditions for which this medication may be used upon a doctor’s discretion.



      The active ingredients of Mucaine Gel Mint Syrup 200ml are Aluminium Hydroxide 0.291mg, Magnesium Hydroxide 98mg, and Oxetacaine 10mg/5ml.

      Aluminum Hydroxide helps to neutralize the excess HCL (hydrochloric acid) produced in the stomach and also inhibits pepsin activity. Therefore, reduces heartburn and upset stomach.

      Magnesium Hydroxide helps in neutralizing gastric acidity. It also acts as a laxative (promotes bowel movement and loosens stool).

      Oxetacaine arrests the gastric acid secretion by suppressing gastrin secretion.

      Do not exceed the dose prescribed by the doctor.
      Mucaine Gel Mint Syrup 200ml is meant for oral administration. Shake the bottle well before administration. Dosage can be administered with the cap that comes along with the container.

      Avoid missing or forgetting a dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember; but if it is almost time for your next dose, skip it and take it according to your normal schedule. Don’t consume two doses at the same time which may be dangerous to your health.

      Take the Mucaine Gel Mint Syrup at the prescribed dose and time.


      Avoid taking more than the prescribed dosage. In case of an accidental overdose, promptly seek medical advice. Depending on the dosage, symptoms may vary but you may experience one or more of the following signs or symptoms:

      • Osteomalacia
      • Osteoporosis

      It is used to lower high phosphate levels in certain kidney conditions. It is used to treat heartburn, upset stomach and indigestion.

      How does Aluminium Hydroxide work:

      It is an antacid that lowers stomach acid. Aluminum binds phosphate in the GI (gastrointestinal) tract and prevents absorption.

      How should Aluminium Hydroxide be used:

      Take 1 to 3 hours after meals as an antacid. Drink lots of non caffeine liquids unless told to drink less liquid by your doctor.

      Common side effects of Aluminium Hydroxide :

      Bad taste in your mouth. Hard stools (constipation).
