      Nitrofix SR 60Mg tablet is an effective medicine used to treat and prevent angina (chest pain that occurs when heart muscle does not get sufficient amount of oxygen-rich blood) caused due to narrowing of blood vessels that carries blood to the heart. It works by relaxing the blood vessels and improves blood flow and oxygen in the body, thereby reducing the risk of getting chest pain. This medicine will not treat an angina attack that has already begun and should not be used for this purpose. However, the uses mentioned here are not comprehensive, there may be other conditions for which the medication may be used upon your doctor’s discretion.

      How to Use

      Take Nitrofix SR 60Mg tablet as instructed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water, immediately after opening it from the strip. Do not break or crush or chew the tablet.
      Avoid missing or forgetting the dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember; but if it’s almost time for your next dose, skip it and take it according to your normal schedule. Don’t swallow two doses at the same time which is dangerous to your health.
      This medicine should be taken on an empty stomach at least 30 minutes before or two hours after food. The tablet is usually taken not more than one time a day. Take the tablet at the same time every day as it helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body.
      Do not change the dose or stop taking the medicine before completion of the course or without consulting your doctor. Continue to use this drug until completion of the maximum amount suggested.

      Overdosage

      Avoid taking medicine more than the prescribed dosage. If you notice any unusual or abnormal reactions after taking the tablet, promptly seek medical attention.       It is not considered safe to use in pregnant women unless the potential benefits outweigh the risks involved. Despite the fact that there are limited studies in human beings, animal studies have shown no or low effects on the developing baby.       Lactation:

      The medicine is likely safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the medication may pass through the breastmilk and does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

      Alcohol:

      Consumption of alcohol with this medicine is not recommended as it increases side effects such as confusion, increased heartbeat, flushing, nausea, thirst, low blood pressure. If you notice any unusual or abnormal reactions after taking the capsule, report to your doctor immediately.

      Driving:

      This tablet may decrease alertness, cause impaired judgement, affect your vision and make you feel dizzy, light headedness. Do not drive, operate heavy machinery or involve in any works which may demand your attention or physical strength.

      Avoid high sodium diet and grape fruit juice as it may alter serum levels.

Chest pain or pressure lasting more than 15 minutes. Get emergency medical care right away. Very bad dizziness or passing out. Very bad headache. Any rash. Side effect or health problem is not better or you are feeling worse.
