      Mechanism of Action of Drugs

Norfloxacin is a flouroquinolone agent which acts by inhibiting the DNA synthesis in bacterial organisms. By inhibiting cell division, Norfloxacin reduces/stops bacterial multiplication.

Tinidazole is an antiprotozoal agent which acts by working against protozoan infections. It also causes damage to the DNA of bacteria, leading to bacterial cell death thus eliminating bacterial infections. It is unknown how Tinidazole works against giardia and entamoeba.
