      Uses and Benefits

      Nurokind D3 tablet is used as an artificial dietary supplement to treat diabetic polyneuropathy, low hemoglobin levels, low calcium and potassium levels, burning mouth syndrome, eye disease, mental disorders, anemia, thiamine deficiency, convulsions, and heart diseases. However, the uses mentioned here are not exhaustive. There may be other conditions for which this medication may be used upon doctor’s discretion.

      The active ingredients of Nurokind D3 tablet are Alpha Lipoic Acid (Thioctic Acid)100mg, Folic Acid 1.5mg, Methylcobalamin (Mecobalamin) 15000mcg, Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6 )3mg, and Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) 1000 IU.

      Alpha-lipoic Acid or Thioctic acid is a fatty acid helps to reduce blood sugar levels and improves nerve functions in the body.
      Folic acid plays a vital role in making DNA and other genetic material and the synthesis of red blood cells.
      Mecobalamin helps in the production of blood cells in the bone marrow.
      Pyridoxine or Vitamin B6 helps in the maintenance of proper health of nerves, skin and red blood cells and also treats or repairs certain nerve disorders such as peripheral neuropathy.
      Vitamin D3 also known as Cholecalciferol is a fat-soluble vitamin naturally synthesized in the body when the skin is exposed to sunshine. Act by regulating phosphorous and calcium levels in the body.

      Patients with the following conditions are suggested to seek advice from their health care professionals before using Nurokind D3 tablet:

      • Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients used in the Nurokind D3 tablet such as mecobalamin, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Pyridoxine or Vitamin B6, and Folic Acid or any other obal or cobalamine derivatives.
      • Hypercalcemia
      • Hypervitaminosis D
      • Renal osteodystrophy
      • Caution:

      • Hyperphosphatemia
      • Renal stones

      Side Effects

      Side and Adverse Effects

      The following side effects may or may not occur during the usage of Nurokind D3 tablet. It is generally well tolerated when taken in the prescribed dosage guidelines. More common ones are generally mild and may include:

      • Anorexia
      • Nausea
      • Vomiting
      • Diarrhea
      • Hunger
      • Sweating
      • Dizziness
      • Irritability
      • Confusion
      • Tachycardia
      • Numbness and tingling
      • Sensory nerve damage

      Rare but more serious adverse effects may include:

      How to Use

      How to Use

      Do not exceed the dose prescribed by your doctor. Swallow Nurokind D3 tablet whole, immediately after opening the tablet from the strip. Do not break/cut/chew the tablet.
      Avoid missing a dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember; but if it is time for your next dose, skip it and take it according to your normal schedule. Do not swallow two doses at the same time which is dangerous to your health.
      Take the tablet with or without food preferably with food.
      Dosage as recommended by your doctor or follow the instructions given on the prescription.

      Overdosage

      Avoid taking more than the prescribed dosage. In case of an accidental overdose, look for any new symptoms. If you observe any, seek medical advice or report it to the nearby poison control center.

      Take Nurokind D3 tablet only on the advice of a medical practitioner. Dosage adjustment or complete avoidance of the medication may be required in the following conditions:

      Kidney:

      Talk to your doctor once if you have any kidney related problems before taking the Nurokind D3 tablet.

      Liver:

      Talk to your doctor once if you have any liver related problems before taking the Nurokind D3 tablet.

      Pregnancy:

      Do not take the tablet without doctors advise – because it is not known whether this drug may harm a fetus or not.

      Lactation:

      Talk to your doctor once before taking the tablet, since this drug may pass into breast milk.

      Drug Interactions:

      Caution always advised when used with other medicines like herbal and other OTC drugs. Therefore, inform your doctor about your current list of medication which ypou may start or stop.

      • Keep the medicine out of sight and reach of children.
      • Store at room temperature protected from heat and moisture.
      • Do not use the medicine beyond its expiry.
      • Do not use the tablet if the tablet strip is torn or the tablet is broken.

      Folic acid is a diet aid that helps the body make healthy red blood cells. It stops some types of birth defects.

      How should Folic Acid be used:

      Dose is based on patients condition. It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with or without food.

      Common side effects of Folic Acid :

      If you think there was an overdose, call your local poison control center or ER right away. Signs of a very bad reaction to the drug. These include wheezing; chest tightness; fever; itching; bad cough; blue or gray skin color; seizures; or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. Any rash. Side effect or health problem is not better or you are feeling worse.

      What do I do if I miss a dose

      Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses. Do not change the dose or stop this drug. Talk with the doctor.

      What precautions should I take when taking Folic Acid :

      If you have an allergy to folic acid or any other part of this drug. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs. Make sure to tell about the allergy and what signs you had. This includes telling about rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs.
