Nurokind Fast Strip is used in the treatment of Vitamin B12 deficiency as a dietary supplement especially to treat pernicious anemia and also helps to regulate vital body functions such as blood formation, cell multiplication, and protein synthesis. However, the uses mentioned here are not exhaustive. There may be other conditions for which this medication may be used upon doctor’s discretion.




The active ingredient of Nurokind Fast Strip is Mecobalamin (also known as Methylcobalamin) 1500mcg/Patch.

Patients with the following conditions are suggested to seek advice from their health care professionals before using Nurokind Fast Strip:

  • Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients used in the Nurokind Fast Strip medicine such as Mecobalamin, Cobal, and Cobalamine derivatives

Side and Adverse Effects

The following side effects may or may not occur during the usage of this strip. It is generally well tolerated when taken in the prescribed dosage guidelines. More common ones are generally mild and may include:

  • Anorexia
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Skin rash
  • Decreased appetite
  • Chest pain or discomfort


How to Use

 Do not exceed the dose prescribed by your doctor.
Do not swallow or chew the Nurokind Fast strip.
There would be an arrow on the top left edge of the sachet on the back side. Hold the sachet at this arrow and gently peel from this point to separate sachet into 2 layers.
Then remove the strip from the peeled sachet and keep it on the top of your tongue. The strip itself will get dissolved within few seconds.
Take it as recommended by your doctor.


Avoid taking more than the prescribed dosage. In case of an accidental overdose, look out for any new symptoms. If you note any, promptly seek medical advice or report it to the nearby poison control center.

Take Nurokind Fast Strip only on the advice of a medical practitioner. Dosage adjustment or complete avoidance of the medication may be required in the following conditions:


Do not take the strip without doctors advise – because it is not known whether this drug may harm a fetus or not.


No data available. However, since this drug may pass into breast milk, consider talking to your doctor before taking the strip.

Drug interactions: Use of Neomycin, Aminosalicylic acid, H2-antagonists, Omeprazole and Colchicine along with Nurokind strip may reduce the absorption rate of Mecobalamin through GI tract.
Serum concentration levels may get decreased by the use of oral contraceptives.
Consider the above while performing a blood test or checking assays for blood concentration.


  • Keep the medicine out of sight and reach of children.
  • Store below 25o C. Protect from light and moisture.
  • Do not use if the sachet is open, torn or broken.
  • Empty sachet should be disposed.
  • Do not use the Nurokind Fast Strip beyond its expiry.

What is methylcobalamin for:

It is used to prevent and treat low vitamin B12. Lack of vitamin B12 may cause anemia and damage to the nerves. It is used to treat diabetic neuropathy and peripheral neuropathy.

How does methylcobalamin work:

It is an essential nutrient that helps the body make healthy red blood and nerve cells.

How should methylcobalamin be used:

Take with or without food. Take with food if it causes an upset stomach.

Common side effects of methylcobalamin :

Headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, skin rash, hot flushes

What do I do if I miss a dose

Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses.

What precautions should I take when taking methylcobalamin :

Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs.

When do I need to seek medical help

Seek help if you have signs of a very bad reaction to the drug. These include wheezing; chest tightness; fever; itching; bad cough; blue or gray skin color; seizures; or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. Swelling, warmth, or pain in the leg or arm. Talk to your doctor if you have very loose stools (diarrhea), are feeling very tired or weak, have a rash.

Can I take methylcobalamin with other medicines:

Use with neomycin, aminosalicylic acid, cimetidine and cochicine will decrease absorption. Inform doctor about all other drugs you are taking including herbals.

Are there any food restrictions

Unless your doctor tells you otherwise, continue with your normal diet.

How do I store methylcobalamin :

Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children. Medicines must not be used past the expiry date.
