This medicine is used with a proper healthy diet and exercise program to control high blood pressure for best possible effects. It is not recommended as initial therapy for patients with high blood pressure. Olmesartan medoxomil is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels by inhibiting the action of a chemical that normally tightens them. It improves blood flow and oxygen in the body, thereby reducing the risk of getting chest pain. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic which removes excess sodium and water from the body through urine. Take Olmezest H 40MG tablet as instructed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water, immediately after opening it from the strip. Do not break or crush or chew the tablet.
Avoid missing or forgetting the dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember; but if it’s almost time for your next dose, skip it and take it according to your normal schedule. Don’t swallow two doses at the same time which is dangerous to your health.
Olmezest H 40MG should be taken with food. Drink plenty of fluids while taking this medicine to overcome dry mouth, muscle weakness and extreme thirst. The tablet is usually taken not more than once a day. Take the tablet at the same time every day as it helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. It is best to avoid taking this medicine within four hours of going to bed as it contains a diuretic and will make you urinate more.
Do not change the dose or stop taking the medicine before completion of the course or without consulting your doctor. Continue to use this drug until completion of the maximum amount suggested.

This medication is a thiazide diuretic, prescribed for high blood pressure (hypertension) and edema.
It helps the kidneys to remove fluid from the body.
It comes as a tablet and liquid to take by mouth, with food. dult- HTN- The recommended dose is 12.5 to 50 mg once daily. Edema- The recommended dose is 25-100 mg once daily or in divided doses.
Low potassium levels. Signs include feeling tired, weak, numbness, or tingling; muscle cramps; hard stools (constipation); throwing up; or a fast heartbeat. Feeling dizzy. Rise slowly over a few minutes when sitting or lying down. Be careful climbing. Upset stomach or throwing up. If you have a sulfa (sulfonamide) allergy, talk with your doctor. If you have kidney disease. If you are pregnant or may be pregnant.
If you think there was an overdose, call your local poison control center or ER right away. Signs of a very bad reaction to the drug. These include wheezing; chest tightness; fever; itching; bad cough; blue or gray skin color; seizures; or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. Signs of low potassium. Very bad dizziness or passing out. Very upset stomach or throwing up. Not able to pass urine. Sudden change in eyesight, eye pain, or irritation. Any rash. Side effect or health problem is not better or you are feeling worse.
