Parawyn 650MG tablet is used as first line therapy for the treatment of fever, pain and inflammation according to the international guidelines and recommendations. It is used in moderate to severe pain relief, treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and in conditions such as headaches, body aches, tooth aches, menstrual pain and common cold. The tablet effectively relieves muscle stiffness, thereby improving muscle movement. However, the uses mentioned here are not comprehensive, there may be other conditions for which the medication may be used upon your doctor’s discretion.

How to Use

How to Use

Take Parawyn 650MG tablet as instructed by your health care professional. Do not use this pill for durations shorter or longer than suggested by your doctor. Avoid missing or forgetting the dose. If you do, take the tablet as soon as remember, but it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the previous dose and take it according to your normal scheduled time. Continue to use this drug until completion of the maximum amount suggested.
Parawyn 650MG tablet can be taken with or without food. If significant stomach upset occurs, you could take it with food. The tablet is usually taken not more than 3-4 times a day.

Overdosage

Avoid taking medicine more than the prescribed dosage. If you notice any unusual or abnormal reactions after taking the tablet, promptly seek medical attention. Depending on the dosage of Parawyn 650MG tab, symptoms vary in individuals, you may experience one or more of the following symptoms:

  • Pallor
  • Nausea
  • Anorexia
  • Metabolic acidosis
  • Hypoglycaemia
  • Hypotension
  • Pancreatitis
  • Haemorrhage
  • Cerebral oedema

Use this tablet on the advice of medical practitioner. Dose adjustments or complete avoidance of the Parawyn 650MG tablet may be required in the following conditions:

Kidney:

Caution is advised among people with kidney problems. Adjustments of dose of the medicine may be needed. If you have any renal problems, it is highly recommended that you consult doctor before the consumption of this medicine.

Liver:

Extreme caution is advised among people with liver problems. Dose adjustments of the Parawyn 650MG tab may be needed. If you have any hepatic problems, it is highly recommended that you consult doctor before the consumption of this medicine. Any symptoms such as nausea, fever, dark urine etc should be reported to your doctor immediately. However, use of this tablet is not suggested in patients with severe liver diseases.

Pregnancy:

Parawyn 650MG tablet is not considered safe to use in pregnant women unless the potential benefits outweigh the risks involved. Despite the fact that there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown no or low adverse effects on the developing baby. It is recommended that you consult your doctor before consumption of this medicine.

Lactation:

This medicine is not considered safe to use in nursing mothers unless the potential benefits outweigh the risks involved. Since limited information is available about the safety of taking this tablet, consult your doctor if you are nursing mother and stay on the safe side.

Alcohol:

Consumption of alcohol with Parawyn 650MG tablet is not recommended as it increases side effects such as risk of liver injuries, gastrointestinal bleeding, dizziness, light headedness. If you notice any unusual or abnormal reactions after taking the tablet, report to your doctor immediately. If you consume alcohol on regular basis, relevant dose adjustments of the medicine may be necessary depending on your clinical condition.

Driving:

Parawyn 650MG tablet does not cause drowsiness or dizziness. If you notice any abnormal reactions after taking the medicine, do not drive, operate heavy machinery or involve in any works which may demand your attention or physical strength.

Food:

Avoid grape fruit juice and alcohol as they may alter serum levels.

Drug Interactions:

Alert your doctor if you are taking Parawyn 650MG tab with any of the below medicines:
Cholestyramine
Rifampicin
Phenytoin
Carbamazepine
Warfarin
Metoclopramide
Probenecid
Chloramphenicol
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines which includes over-the-counter drugs, herbal tonics, supplements and medicines that you buy without a prescription.

What is Paracetamol for:

It is used to used to relieve mild to moderate pain and to reduce fever.

How does Paracetamol work:

Paracetamol blocks chemicals that cause pain. It lowers fever by changing the bodys thermostat in the brain.

How should Paracetamol be used:

Take this as directed by your doctor. Do not take more than instructed by your doctor. Never take more than 1000 mg at any one time and no more than 4 times in one day. The dose for a child is different from the adult dose. Be sure to check with your doctor or pharmacist before giving this medicine to a child. It may be taken with or without food. If you need pain relief fast, take it on an empty stomach as food may slow down the absorption. You may stop taking it when you have no more pain or fever. Take it only when you need to.

Common side effects of Paracetamol :

Upset stomach or throwing up. Harm to the liver may rarely happen.

Contact an emergency centre immediately if you suspect overdose.
