It is used for treatment of adult patients with COPD and bronchial asthma
It works by dilating the airway tubes and breaking down the mucus
To gain the most benefit, take the medicine daily or as prescribed by your doctor. Take with or without food. Take with food if it causes an upset stomach. Do not crush or chew.
Belly pain or heartburn, loss of appetite, diarrhea, or vomiting
Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. Many times this drug is taken on an as needed basis.
Alert your doctor if you had an allergic reaction to ambroxol, acebrophylline, or theophylline. Use caution if you are suffering from heart problems, high blood pressure, and liver problems. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant
Seek help if you think there was an overdose or signs of a very bad reaction to the drug, any rash or if a side effect or health problem is not better or you are feeling worse.
The dosage of this drug may have to be adjusted if you are taking certain antibiotics or ulcer drugs. Be sure to talk to your doctor about all the drugs you take.
Avoid Alcohol
Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children. - Medicines must not be used past the expiry date.
Category C : Animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks.
