It is used in certain people to lower the risk of death and having go to the hospital because of heart failure. This medicine is used with a proper healthy diet and exercise program to control high blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes. However, there may be other conditions for which this medication may be used upon doctor’s discretion.

      How to Use

      Take Prominad 100MG tablet as instructed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water, immediately after opening it from the strip. Do not break or crush or chew the tablet.
      Avoid missing or forgetting the dose. If you do, take it as soon as you remember; but if it’s almost time for your next dose, skip it and take it according to your normal schedule. Don’t swallow two doses at the same time which is dangerous to your health.
      The tablet should be taken food, immediately or during breakfast or the first main meal of the day. Take the tablet at the same time every day as it helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body.
      Do not change the dose or stop taking the medicine before completion of the course or without consulting your doctor. Continue to use this drug until completion of the maximum amount suggested. This medicine is not recommended for children, adolescents and for older adults (over 75 of age).

      Overdosage

      Avoid taking Prominad 100MG tablet more than the prescribed dosage. In case of an accidental overdose, promptly ask for medical advice. Depending on the dose of the medicine, symptoms may vary in individuals, you may experience the following signs or symptoms:

      Kidney:

      Among people with renal problems, caution is recommended. Canagliflozin increases serum creatinine and decreases estimated Glomerular filtration rate. Dose adjustments of the tablet may be needed based on the clinical condition of the patient. If you have any renal problems, it is highly recommended that you consult your doctor before the consumption of this medicine.

      Liver:

      Caution is advised among people with hepatic problems. Dose adjustments of the medicine may be needed. If you have any hepatic problems, it is highly recommended that you consult your doctor before the consumption of this medicine.

      Pregnancy:

      This tablet should be used with caution during pregnancy. Despite the fact that there are limited studies in human beings, animal studies have shown effects on the developing baby. It is recommended that you consult your doctor before consuming this medicine.

      Lactation:

      There is no information regarding the presence of Canagliflozin in human milk, or the breastfed infant, or the effects on milk production. However, inform your doctor if you are a nursing mother as it is still unknown if it causes harm to the foetus or not.

      Alcohol:

      Consumption of alcohol with this tablet is not recommended as it increases side effects of the medicine. If found any symptoms of extreme drowsiness, vomiting, confusion, report to your doctor immediately.

      Driving:

      The medicine affects blood glucose levels and may decrease alertness, cause impaired judgement, affect your vision and make you feel dizzy, light headedness. Do not drive, operate heavy machinery or involve in any works which may demand your attention or physical strength.
