      Mechanism of Action of Drugs

      Mechanism of Action of Drugs

Rabeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor and anti-ulcer, stops the action of proton pumps that are found on the cells that line the stomach there by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach. Domperidone works by blocking certain chemicals in the brain that controls nausea or vomiting. It acts on upper digestive tract of stomach and intestine which causes faster gastric emptying permitting food to move easily through the stomach.
