Skinlite Cream 25gm is used to treat hyperpigmented skin conditions, allergies, rash, itching and redness. In addition, this improves the skin colour and also relieves from acne. However, the uses mentioned here are not exhaustive. There may be other conditions for which this medication may be used upon a doctor’s discretion.
The active ingredients of Skinlite Cream 25gm are Hydroquinone 2% w/w, Mometasone Furoate 0.1% w/w, and Tretinoin 0.025% w/w.
Hydroquinone helps to reduce the pigmentation by decreasing the production of melanin (a pigment in skin which is responsible for brown / dark complexion) in the skin.
Mometasone Furoate stimulates certain natural substances in the body that help reduce allergy, itching, redness etc.
Tretinoin helps to reduce wrinkles and to remove dead cells.

The following side effects may or may not occur during the usage of this Skinlite Cream 25gm. It is generally well tolerated when used in the prescribed dosage guidelines. More common ones are generally mild and may include:
Rare but more serious adverse effects may include:
Wash your hands as well as the affected area well, before the application. Wipe dry.
Apply a thin layer of Skinlite Cream 25gm topically on the affected area – do not rub it harshly.
Contact with the eyes may cause irritation or burning sensation. Hence, to avoid this, wash your hands well, post-application as well.
Dosage: As recommended by your doctor or follow the directions given on the gel.
Avoid using more than the prescribed dosage. In case of an accidental overdose, if you observe any new symptoms promptly seek medical advice or report it to the nearby poison control center.
Use the Skinlite Cream 25gm only on the advice of a medical practitioner. Dosage adjustment or complete avoidance of the medication may be required in the following conditions:
Do not use this cream if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant because safety during pregnancy is not yet established. However, consider using the cream only if it is suggested by a doctor.
Do not use this medicine if you are a nursing mother because it is not known whether this drug may pass into breast milk or not. However, consider using the medicine only if it is suggested by your healthcare professional.
Category C: Animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks.
It is used to lower the color of freckles on the skin.
Hydroquinone lightens the skin where there are changes in color.
Do not take this drug by mouth. Use on your skin only. Keep out of your mouth, nose, and eyes (may burn). Wash your hands before and after use. Clean affected part before use. Make sure to dry well. Put a thin layer on the affected skin and rub in gently. Practice good skin care and avoid the sun.
Short-term pain after use. Dry skin. Itching. Skin irritation.
Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses.
If you have an allergy to hydroquinone or any other part of this drug. If you have a sulfite allergy, talk with your doctor. Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs. Make sure to tell about the allergy and what signs you had. This includes telling about rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs. If you are sunburned.
Signs of a very bad reaction to the drug. These include wheezing; chest tightness; fever; itching; bad cough; blue or gray skin color; seizures; or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. Very bad skin irritation. Any rash. Side effect or health problem is not better or you are feeling worse.
Sometimes drugs are not safe when you take them with certain other drugs and food. - Taking them together can cause bad side effects. - Be sure to talk to your doctor about all the drugs you take.
Avoid Alcohol
Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children. - Medicines must not be used past the expiry date.
