Telmikind AMH 40MG tablet is used to treat hypertension (elevation of blood pressure caused by genetic or environmental factors), prevents angina (heart related chest pain) and other heart complications. The medicine works by slowing down the activity of your heart allowing it to beat slower and less forcefully and also relaxes the blood vessels and improves blood flow and oxygen in the body, thereby reducing the risk of getting chest pain. This medicine is used with a proper healthy diet and exercise program to control high blood pressure for best possible effects. However, the uses mentioned are not exhaustive, there may be other conditions for which the medication may be used upon your doctor’s discretion.

The active ingredient of Telmikind AMH 40MG tablet are Telmisartan 40 MG, Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5MG, Amlodipine 5MG.

Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels by inhibiting the action of a chemical that normally tightens them. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic, which removes extra water and certain electrolytes thereby reduces blood pressure and improves blood flow. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker, normalizes the blood pressure in high blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels. It improves blood flow and oxygen in the body, thereby reducing the risk of getting chest pain.

How to Use

How to Use

Take Telmikind AMH 40MG tablet as instructed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water, immediately after opening it from the strip. Do not break or crush or chew the tablet.
Do not use the medicine for durations shorter or longer than the suggested by your doctor. Continue to use this medicine until completion of the maximum amount suggested.
Avoid missing or forgetting the dose, if you do, take the tablet as soon as you remember, but if it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the previous dose and take it according to your normal scheduled. Do not swallow two doses at the same time which is dangerous to health.
This tablet can be taken with or without food. If significant stomach upset occurs, it could be taken with food. food to avoid stomach upset. The tablet is usually taken not more than once. Take the tablet at the same time as it helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body.

Overdosage

Kidney:

Liver:

Extreme caution is advised among patients with liver problems. Dose adjustments of the tablet may be needed on the basis of clinical condition of the patient. we recommend you to consult your doctor before the consumption of this medicine. However, this medicine is not recommended in patients with severe hepatic impairment.

Pregnancy:

Telmikind AMH 40Mg tablet might be risky to use during pregnancy. Despite the fact that there are limited studies in human beings, animal studies have shown adverse effects on the developing baby. It is recommended that you consult your doctor before consuming this medicine.

Lactation:

The medicine is likely unsafe to use for nursing mothers. Limited human data suggests that the medication may pass into the breastmilk and harm the infant. Consult your doctor immediately if the baby shows signs of increased sleepiness, breathing problems or difficulty in breast feeding.

Alcohol:

Alert your doctor if you are taking Telmikind AMH 40Mg tablet with ACE inhibitors, heparin, ciclosporin, tacrolimus, K-sparing diuretics like eplerenone, spironolactone, triamterene, amiloride, NSAIDs, itraconazole, rifampicin, insulin, amphetamine, quinidine.

How should Amlodipine be used:

Take Amlodipine exactly as directed by your doctor. - Do not take more or less than instructed by your doctor. - Amlodipine must be taken regularly for it to work well. - Continue taking Amlodipine even when you feel better. - Do not stop taking it unless instructed by your doctor. - You may take Amlodipine with or without food. - Try to take it at the same time each day.

Feeling dizzy. Rise slowly over a few minutes when sitting or lying down. Be careful while climbing. - Headache. - Hard stools (constipation). Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. - If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. - Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses. - Do not change the dose or stop this drug. - Talk with the doctor.

Alert your doctor if you have heart or liver disease. - Alert your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. - Do not breastfeed while you are being treated with Amlodipine.
