Temsan 40 MG Tablet is used to treat hypertension (elevation of blood pressure caused by genetic or environmental factors), prevents angina (heart related chest pain) and other heart complications. The medicine works by slowing down the activity of your heart allowing it to beat slower and less forcefully and also relaxes the blood vessels and improves blood flow and oxygen in the body, thereby reducing the risk of getting chest pain. This medicine is used with a proper healthy diet and exercise program to control high blood pressure for best possible effects. However, the uses mentioned are not exhaustive, there may be other conditions for which the medication may be used upon your doctor’s discretion.

How to Use

How to Use

Take Temsan 40 MG tablet as instructed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water, immediately after opening it from the strip. Do not break or crush or chew the tablet.
Do not use the medicine for durations shorter or longer than the suggested by your doctor. Continue to use this medicine until completion of the maximum amount suggested.
Avoid missing or forgetting the dose, if you do, take the tablet as soon as you remember, but if it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the previous dose and take it according to your normal scheduled. Do not swallow two doses at the same time which is dangerous to health.
This tablet can be taken with or without food. If significant stomach upset occurs, it could be taken with food. food to avoid stomach upset. The tablet is usually taken not more than once. Take the tablet at the same time as it helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body.

Overdosage

Liver:

Pregnancy:

Temsan 40Mg tablet might be risky to use during pregnancy. Despite the fact that there are limited studies in human beings, animal studies have shown adverse effects on the developing baby. It is recommended that you consult your doctor before consuming this medicine.

Lactation:

The medicine is likely unsafe to use for nursing mothers. Limited human data suggests that the medication may pass into the breastmilk and harm the infant. Consult your doctor immediately if the baby shows signs of increased sleepiness, breathing problems or difficulty in breast feeding.

Alcohol:

Driving:

Avoid grape fruit juice as it may alter serum levels.

Drug Interactions:

Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines which includes over-the-counter drugs, herbal tonics, supplements and medicines that you buy without a prescription. Alert your doctor if you are taking Temsan 40Mg tablet with ACE inhibitors, heparin, ciclosporin, tacrolimus, Hyperkalaemia with K-sparing diuretics like Eplerenone, Spironolactone, triamterene, amiloride, NSAIDs.

How should Telmisartan be used:

It comes as a tablet to take by mouth, with or without food. Hypertension- Adults- Oral: Initial: 40 mg once daily. Max: 80 mgday. Cardio Vascular risk reduction- Adults- Oral: 80 mg once per day.

Common side effects of Telmisartan :

Feeling dizzy. Rise slowly over a few minutes when sitting or lying down. Be careful climbing. Cough. Belly pain. High potassium level. Signs include feeling weak, lightheaded, dizzy, feel like passing out, or have numbness or tingling. Kidney function that gets worse.

What do I do if I miss a dose

Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time. Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses. Do not change the dose or stop this drug. Talk with the doctor.

These include wheezing; chest tightness; fever; itching; bad cough; blue or gray skin color; seizures; or swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat. Very bad dizziness or passing out. Very bad headache. Signs of high potassium. Cough that does not go away. Too much sweat, fluid loss, throwing up, or loose stools. May lead to low blood pressure. For women, if you get pregnant while taking this drug. Any rash. Side effect or health problem is not better or you are feeling worse.
