      Tresivac PFS Vaccine is used to prevent serious, sometimes fatal infections, caused by three viruses- measles, mumps and rubella. These are typical childhood infections that can result in serious complications such as deafness, brain or lung defects or damage to an unborn baby. The vaccine is indicated for active immunization in children of 9-12 months.

      Tresivac PFS vaccine contains live viruses that have been weakened. It works by allowing the body to produce its antibodies against the viruses that cause measles, mumps and rubella. It helps the body to develop immunity to fight against these viruses.

      Patients with following conditions are suggested to seek advice from your health care professional before taking Tresivac PFS Vaccine:

      • Hypersensitivity to the active substance or other ingredients in the vaccine.
      • Patients with stage 3 or stage 4 HIV AIDS disease
      • Severely immunocompromised patients
      • Caution:
      • Patients with active Tuberculosis disease
      • People who are allergic to egg protein
      • Pregnant women

      Rare but more serious adverse effects may include:

      How to Use

      How to Use

      Do not self-administer the vaccine, your nurse or trained physician will give you the medicine. Tresivac PFS Vaccine should be given at the age of 9-12 months and the second dose at 15-18 months and third dose at 4-6 years.

      If unvaccinated individual over the age of 9 months comes to outpatient department, Tresivac PFS vaccine should be given on priority. Since the vaccine is administered mostly in a hospital or clinic setup, the likelihood of missing the dose is very low. If a dose is missing, it should be taken as soon as possible. Prior to vaccination, a paediatrician advice should be sought.

      The vaccine is given by subcutaneous route.

      Overdosage

      Try not to take more than recommended measurements. Since the vaccination will be given by doctor or nurse, therefore it is less likely that you will receive overdose of the medicine. If there should be an occurrence of unplanned excess, look for any new signs or symptoms. On the off chance that you notice any, instantly look for clinical guidance or report it to the close poison control center.
